Une bande magnétique tourne, imperturbable, accompagnée du craquement d'un vinyle et des ondes d'un vieux poste radio. Un cœur habite ces vibrations transformées en drones hypnotiques. Les boucles deviennent célestes quand un chant émerge, proche de l'incantation ou de la prière. D'autres voix essaient de s'extirper de ce maelstrom analogique, celles des spectres perdus dans des saturations brumeuses. Soupirs terrifiants, hululements nocturnes, rites de sorcières et mélancolie de l'outre monde, les deux musiciens de Géométries savent mener l'auditeur comme Jonathan Harker à la recherche d'un château dans les Carpates, tout en s'arrêtant à l'auberge isolée où les rares clients s'adonnent à des danses ivres dignes des Harmonies Werckmeister de Béla Tarr. Dans cette approche plastique du son à l'onirisme funèbre, le projet évoque autant les bidouillages mystiques de Vox Populi! que le médiévalisme postindustriel de The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud. La matière analogique est vivante, les textures pulsent, créant un espace où les êtres de l'ailleurs expriment leur douleur et leur poésie. Là où La Tristesse du facteur prenait la forme d'une folk païenne et électroacoustique, Nebuloasa choisit définitivement l'espace hypnagogique où les frontières entre vie et mort deviennent floues et où la répétition des messages tient autant de l'invocation occulte que de la transe immobile.

The loops become celestial when a song emerges, close to an incantation or prayer. Other voices try to extricate themselves from this analog maelstrom, those of specters lost in foggy saturations. Terrifying sighs, nocturnal howls, witches' rites and otherworldly melancholy, the two musicians of Géométries know how to lead the listener like Jonathan Harker in search of a castle in the Carpathians, while stopping at the isolated hostel where the rare customers indulge in drunken dances worthy of Béla Tarr's Werckmeister Harmonies. In this plastic approach to sound with its funereal dreaminess, the project evokes as much the mystical tinkering of Vox Populi! than the post-industrial medievalism of The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud. The analog material is alive, the textures pulse, creating a space where beings from elsewhere express their pain and their poetry. Where « La tristesse du facteur » took the form of electroacoustic and pagan folk, Nebuloasa definitively chooses the hypnagogic space where the boundaries between life and death become blurred and where the repetition of messages is as much an occult invocation as a motionless trance.
